Patsy is a proponent of wellness and academic achievement. She is energetic, resourceful, and passionate in her approach to educating and connecting with today’s youth. A visionary leader with a clear and consistent record of initiating and managing innovative programs that enhance student performance, increase engagement of students and parents, involve community and business leaders in education, and produce positive student outcomes. She is a skilled and experienced secondary school counselor, program administrator, and instructor with experience at both the secondary and college levels. Patsy is recognized throughout her career for excellence in counseling, teaching, and leadership. She was named “Teacher of the Year” at Newark High School, Business Professionals of America “State Advisor of the Year” twice, and recently named “Delaware State Secondary School Counselor of the Year in 2011. She is an activist who has spent a lifetime supporting underrepresented youth and educating parents about opportunities for their student. She possesses a very strong analytical, problem solving, interpersonal communication and presentation skills; compelling advocate and proposalist with the proven ability to develop successful funding proposals and administer programs. Patsy has successfully written educational grants totally over $150,000.00 in support of alternative education, business and technology education, mentoring, entrepreneurial, character and leadership programs for youth in Pennsylvania and Delaware. She currently serves as curriculum committee chair on the Thomas Edison Charter School Board of Directors.
Robert Anderson, Sr. -- (Vice President and Project Leader) Charter School Governance and Personnel Management
Bob is a retired Principal of Glasgow High School, Student Advisor, Personnel Administrator, Teacher and a dedicated resourceful education professional with a proven ability. He has varied experiences at every level of public and private education with a vision to provide educational support services and share effective education practices that are based on first-hand knowledge as well as educational research. Bob’s extensive background in education has given him the ability to meet challenges head on. He currently owns his own educational consulting firm, BRIDGE BAKES, LLC ---- (Bridge to Achievement Effectiveness and Service Consulting). Bob has experience in writing grant applications; including the 501c3 application, charter school By-laws, and charter school organization and structure. He is a highly recognized and respected professional in the community.
Danika S. Perry, Psy.D. -- (Secretary) Marketing and Development
Post Doctoral Fellow Genesys Regional Medical Center, Flint, MI
Danika is a recent 2013 graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) in Philadelphia, PA. She has expressed her passion for wellness and weight management among youth through a literature review of the overweight and obese conditions among children and adolescents. In light of the key features and risk factors, of pertinent interest is the negative impact of overweight conditions upon academic achievement and mental wellness. During her internship year, Danika trained at Cambria Health Care Center, an urban based, primary care setting serving an underserved population of predominantly African-American patients. She provided psychoeducation and weight management training to several of her clients. In addition, she enhanced her clinical skills at the Center for Brief Therapy where she worked with a wide array of adults and children seeking overall mental wellness. Throughout her matriculation at PCOM, Danika also spent three years offering supportive and mental health counseling services to children both in an elementary school setting in Delaware (grades K – 5th) and in an intensive outpatient mental health program (ages 5 – 17). Both of these experiences were provided through Delaware Guidance Services for Children and Youth, Inc. Due to her passion for assisting others in developing their strengths and becoming advocates of their well-being she was accepted as an upcoming post-doctoral fellow at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Flint, MI. During her two year fellowship she will enhance her leadership and supervisory skills while providing hospital based consultation-liaison services and pre-surgical evaluations, thereby collaborating with a variety of medical health specialties.
Dakota Williams -- (Treasurer) Facilities Oversight Committee Chair
Siemens Healthcare Manufacturing Lab Technician
Dakota Williams is a residential Realtor with 13 years real estate experience. Her sales awards include the Re/Max Presidents Club, Prudential Fox and Roach Sales Performance Award and most recently the Delaware Today Magazine 5 Star Realtor Award. She is also currently employed as a Manufacturing Lab Technician with Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics and has over twenty years of industrial chemistry experience working with a wide range of chemistry products. Dakota enjoys volunteer work; working many years with Junior Achievement of Delaware, Inc., effectively.
Elijah A. Wilson -- (Member) Budget Oversight Committee Chair
State of Delaware Senior Fiscal Administrative Officer
Elijah will assume the responsibility for budget development and long-range financial planning, including budgetary control. Elijah is no novice to the State’s accounting system. He has earned over ten years of experience in establishing and supervising a program of accounting and reporting financial affairs of Delaware State Charter Schools to the Delaware Department of Education. Elijah will ensure that LEAN Tech Academy adheres to regulatory guidelines, internal control, cash receipts, capitalization and other internal policies, procedures, and processes that address many aspects of the School’s operations. Elijah is proficient in technology, especially financial software/spreadsheets; including a comprehensive knowledge of the State’s Payroll/Human Resources Statewide Technology (PHRST) System. His board accounting experience with the FSF System, governmental finance, and unit counts through state provided training, workshops, and updates will enable him to interpret, implement and assure compliance set forth by Federal and State regulations. He will utilize these same qualities to ensure that LEAN Tech Academy is maximizing its revenue potential. Elijah has served on the Marion T. Academy Board as its business manager, Kuumba Academy Charter School as its Director of Operations/Finance and is currently the financial oversight manager for Family Foundations Charter School and of course, LEAN Tech Academy.
